Course description
The Queen’s Route is the shorter of the two distances, taking runners across the northern peaks Grytfoten (1,019 m) and Botnkrona (1,072 m).
The course starts and finishes at the same point, climbing steadily from the coast into rocky, open terrain. The first summit, Grytfoten, offers wide views over the Helgeland coastline and a glimpse of Botnkrona ahead. From there, a mix of steep ridges and rough ground leads toward the final climb.
Reaching Botnkrona — the highest of all the sisters — marks the turning point. Tag the top, take in the view, and prepare for a long, uneven descent that demands focus all the way down.
It’s a shorter route, but every bit a real mountain run — technical, beautiful, and full of small challenges from start to finish.
Mandatory equipment:
Fully charged mobile phone
Emergency blanket (rescue sheet)
Bottle (minimum 1L of liquid at start)
Nutrition
Wool base layer/top (if weather conditions require it)
In addition, we require that all participants download the gpx file and use it on a capable device (sports watch or mobile phone). The file will be available for later, for now you can view the route on the Strava route below.
